Dream Boarding Episode 2: The Spielberg Mothman Incident
This is the climactic scene in Charles Laughton's 1955 masterpiece The Night of the Hunter in which the Preacher, played by Robert Mitchum chases after the fleeing children. The scene is terrifying as the kids narrowly escape The Preacher as the tide mercifully carries them away. I wanted to raise the stakes even more by adding one more beat of terror in which The Preacher grabs the side of the boat and young John's character must work to free the boat from The Preacher's monstrous grasp.
